If you are looking for a pizza recipe for kids then pitta bread pizzas are a great option. They are a favorite in our house as Cherry can make them all by herself.
You will need:
– Pitta breads (white or brown)
– Tomato puree
-Toppings of your choice, we used sweetcorn, beetroot, pineapple and pepper.
To make the pizzas you need to start by cutting the two bottom corners off the pitta breads to make them skull shaped. Then toast and leave them until they are cool enough to touch.
You then need to spread the tomato puree onto them before adding the cheese and toppings.
It is so simple.
We decided to make them Day of the Dead themed as I’ve mentioned before that we are a little bit obsessed. I used beetroot for the nose and middle of the eyes, a long piece of pepper for the mouth and sweetcorn for the teeth. I then used either pineapple or pepper around the eyes.
When you’ve finished decorating them then just put them under the grill for a few minutes and they are ready to eat.
Cherry made a one eyed skeleton!
