This quick and easy heart art for kids project is a really fun way for kids to get creative.
Letting kids experiment with art is so important. Sometimes it’s hard as parents not to get involved or try to give opinions about how we would do things when our kids are crafting but this project is great for just leaving your kids to it and seeing what they end up with. With Valentine’s Day approaching we’ve been doing lots of crafty things with hearts.
I found these mini canvasses at the back of our craft cupboard and decided they would be perfect for our heart art project.
Cherry painted them pink, then glued lots of pieces of paper on before sticking a big glittery heart on top.
It involved all her favourite things so she was really happy.
I let her glue on cut up pieces of decopatch paper as I was using it at the same time but if you had lots of old magazines lying around then you could cut pieces out of them. They always have lots of different colours and patterns in and it’s a good way of recycling them.
You could also cut the pieces of paper into different shapes, more hearts would have worked well.
